PRACTICE STATEMENT

Carving an Architecture is our design philosophy that is being used throughout our design process and thinking. Cutting out a hole in a surface creates spaces, which in our minds have become volumes. Thus the technique of carving makes us aware that the subject of design is also an object of form and volume of spaces. Carving an Architecture goes beyond the limit of Site Spirit, Space Ritual, Structural Strength and Skin Beauty. The genius of the 'carvers' lies not in self-glorification but rather in the ability to erase themselves in their works, allowing the latter to speak for itself.
