PRACTICE STATEMENT

A skilled architect whose education and architectural approach is inevitably rooted in the architectural tradition of the UK, Hin Tan is able to design in the east and west, and ij different climatic zones and culture. Rejecting functionalism, he believes that architecture must regain its lost grounds of beauty and poetry, a language of inside and outside, and of drama and 'genius loci'. From his studio, he will continue to craft-out buildings with structural bravado and careful attention to detail.
